The McAllen/Reynosa binational area offers the ideal demographics for a company looking to expand, open or relocate: fast-growing population, young and actively seeking employment. Since 1990, McAllen's populaton has jumped from 84,021 to 121,171 in 2005- representing an increase of 44-percent. Reynosa's population has increased in the same time period from 282,667 to 526,888 —a 86-percent growth rate over 15 years.
