Reynosa Community Profile

Reynosa, MX is the largest city in the State of Tamaulipas. Directly across from McAllen, TX, Reynosa is home to several FORTUNE 500 companies such as Nokia, Panasonic and R.R. Donnelly & Sons. The city of almost 1 million has 10 industrial parks and a growing commercial and service sector. Many U.S.-based retailers such as Home Depot, HEB supermarkets and Lowe's have a presence in Reynosa. Reports of violence along the border have been limited, yet isolated in Reynosa in the latter part of the last decade. Reynosa is home to four universities, one technical institute that partners with McAllen-based South Texas College, and six technical training centers.
